This category includes exhibition catalogues documenting contemporary alternative photography and historical photographic processes. The publications present works by artists working with manual techniques such as wet collodion, cyanotype, gum bichromate, albumen, and other fine art processes, combining traditional photographic craftsmanship with a contemporary approach to image-making.

The catalogues record international exhibitions and competitions in which analogue and experimental photography functions as an artistic language based on light-sensitive materials, chemistry, and process.

Currently available in this category is the exhibition catalogue “Then and Now 2020”, documenting the second edition of the international photography competition dedicated to historical techniques and alternative photography, presented at the Gdańsk Photography Gallery of the National Museum in Gdańsk, Poland.
