A plastic substrate for making carbon tissue. The preconditioned surface ensures good adhesion of the gelatin without the need of pre-sizing. The impervious substrate doesn't soak water or glycerin contained in the glop and does not become stiff on drying allowing the manufacture of entirely pliable sheets.
The substrate is reusable and can be cleared after use with warm water.
